Services

Spring Startup

Your sprinkler system needs to be turned back on and checked after Winter.

On the scheduled day/time of your appointment, one of our team members will come out to turn on your irrigation system and will access your controller to run each zone/station.

Your system will be checked for coverage, adjustment, damage, leaks, clogged sprinklers, leaky sprinklers, and we will assess the general condition of your system.

The controller will be programmed with a watering schedule, and it will be ready to run when you decide to start watering.

We will make necessary recommendations and, if needed, repairs will be taken care of during this visit, after providing you with an estimate.

Backflow Testing

In New York State all irrigation systems must include a backflow preventer at the point of connection.

A backflow preventer is a device installed after the water meter that acts as a one-way check valve.

It allows clean water to flow out, and blocks dirty, contaminated water from getting syphoned back into the drinking supply.

The Health Department and the local Water Authority require that the backflow preventer is tested once every year to certify that it is working properly.

We are NYS certified to perform this test, and to submit the test results back to the appropriate agencies on your behalf.

Repairs

There may be a time when your irrigation system will need

 to be repaired.

Careless snow plowing, digging in the yard to plant trees or shrubs, excavating to install a pool or an addition, would likely result in partial damage to the irrigation system.

We have specialized tools, lots of hands-on experience, and proven techniques to help us assess and repair the damage quickly and in the most cost-effective way.

We understand how crucial it is to have your system up and running quickly after being damaged, especially during hot months, that’s why we make it our priority to get to you as fast as possible when this happens.

Modifications

Similar to repairs, modifications to your irrigation system will be necessary when changes to your yard occur.

Installing a pool, and addition, a shed, etc., will all be reasons to modify an irrigation system.

We can re-route or extend water lines and move sprinkler heads to accommodate the changes. Sometimes entire zones could be eliminated or new zones may need to be installed.

Our specialized machine minimizes damage to your lawn so that you can go back to enjoying your yard right away.

Upgrades

Some common upgrades we offer:

Smart Controllers

Recently smart controllers have become very popular with
customers. Being able to operate your system with your
phone or tablet is very easy and convenient.

These newer units have many customizable options, and can
also access local weather data to help you conserve water.

We can easily replace your old controller with a new WiFi
enabled controller that can be operated from anywhere in the
    world !

Stainless Steel Sprinklers

These sprinkler heads have a stainless steel sleeve over the
riser (the part that comes out when watering) and are
recommended for sandy soils. Over time, the abrasiveness

of the soil will wear out the plastic riser,  and the sprinkler
head will no longer fully retract.
The result ? The sprinkler head will be stuck low enough to be
hidden by the grass, and your lawnmower will infallibly chop
the top off, leaving you with a pretty nice fountain !

Booster Pump

A booster pump will become necessary whenever the
available street pressure is no longer sufficient to keep the
    irrigation system operating efficiently.

A drop in pressure can occur during peak watering times,
especially when temperatures are above normal and
everyone decides to use water at the same time.
A properly-sized booster pump will keep your system
operating at its best at all times.

Winterizing

Before Winter sets in, your system will need to be properly winterized to avoid damage from freezing temperatures.

On the scheduled day/time of your appointment, one of our team members will come out to turn off the irrigation shutoff valves in your basement, and will access to your controller to run each zone.

Using a large-volume compressor we then inject air into your irrigation system to force all of the water out. This can take anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes for an average system, depending on the number of zones.

You can schedule this service anytime, once you are done

watering for the year.
